iXem Labs announce the activation of the following links:

• between Capanna Margherita, at 4556 m asl on Punta Gnifetti (Monte Rosa) and Pian Cavallaro, a 295,16 km wireless point-2-point link. First results show transmission data rates faster than 20 Mb/s and optimum stability.
• between Capanna Margherita, at 4556 m asl on Punta Gnifetti (Monte Rosa) and the Electronic Department of Politecnico di Torino: a 97,70 km wireless point-2-point link able to carry 30 Mb/s.

Results were obtained using transmitters entirely manufactured by pur Labs, mounting open-source routing software adapted by iXem Labs and verified by comparison with commercial WISP softwares.
In the meanwhile, a permanent webcam has been installed on Capanna Margherita, looking at the Punta Gnifetti and Liskamm. Images are being shown on PoliTo iXem web site.
